forgiving

Forgiveness is letting go of the pain
And accepting what has happened.
It's starting anew with what we've gained
And understanding what we've learned.

Forgiveness is dismissing the blame
Choices were made that hurt the heart
Because we played a different game

Forgiveness allows us to move on
towards a better sense of relationship.
Forgiveness strengthens the true bond
Of our universal love and friendship.

Forgiveness is knowing that love
is the answer from up above
To all the problems of our day
As we're all connected in some way.

Jesus prayed while hanging on the cross,
"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do,"
Forgive us, Lord, for the pain we cause.
Help us, O God, to forgive all the others, too. :)
